Javier Cipriani, the acting president of the Chamber of Deputies' Ethics Commission and member of Renovación Popular, accused colleague Harvey Colchado of the Ahora Nación party of obstructing the commission's work through his resignation.

Speaking on Monday, Cipriani stated that Colchado—whom he criticized by saying "he loves the cameras"—should be replaced on the commission by another member of his own political faction.
