Lebo M addresses $27m lawsuit against comedian Learnmore Jonasi after court fee ruling

South African composer Lebo M has concluded his legal action against Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonasi, which involved a $27 million lawsuit. The dispute stemmed from a joke made by Jonasi regarding the iconic opening chant in Disney's The Lion King, which Lebo M co-created.

The resolution follows a recent court fee ruling in the matter. Lebo M formally addressed the conclusion of the case in an official statement dated October 20, 2026.
