Leclerc fastest before stopping as Aston Martin hit early fault with new-look car

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc set the fastest time during the opening practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix, finishing over four tenths ahead of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

The eventful first practice was disrupted when Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll spun off the track following a rear suspension failure on the team's heavily upgraded, new-look car.

Leclerc also encountered technical trouble during the session, bringing his running to a halt after establishing the early benchmark pace.
