San Sebastián will screen 'Cuelgamuros' and 'Rocío' as part of 'Youth, Memory and Democracy'

The San Sebastián Festival has announced additions to its upcoming lineup, highlighting the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera section and a dedicated sidebar focused on youth, memory, and democracy. The festival will feature new works and retrospectives from prominent international and regional filmmakers.

Among the participating directors in the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera section are Tizza Covi, Rainer Frimmel, Radu Jude, Lee Chang-dong, Federico Luis, Tsai Ming-Liang, and Jane Schoenbrun, alongside a notable presence of Argentine cinema. Additionally, the festival program includes the premiere of the RTVE documentary 'Cuelgamuros, entre lo difícil y lo imposible' and a screening of 'Rocío', a film previously censored during Spain's Transition period.
