“Leñita” denies accusations in the death of a leader in Los Alcarrizos

Rafael Hernández, a city councilman known as "Leñita," has publicly denied any involvement in the shooting death of community leader José Frank Valerio. The homicide occurred on August 14 in Los Alcarrizos, Dominican Republic.

Speaking out on Tuesday, Hernández asserted that he shared a close relationship with the victim. He also stated that he trusts and expects local authorities to thoroughly investigate and clarify the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
