“Leñita” denies accusations in the death of a leader in Los Alcarrizos

Rafael Hernández, a city councilman known as "Leñita," has publicly denied allegations connecting him to the fatal shooting of community leader José Frank Valerio. The homicide occurred on August 14 in Los Alcarrizos, Dominican Republic.

Speaking out on Tuesday, Hernández asserted that he maintained a close personal relationship with the victim. He also stated that he is cooperating with and awaiting a thorough investigation by the authorities to clarify the circumstances surrounding the killing.
