Naval Academy: Minors detained for alleged rape will attend remote classes while the process lasts

Ten minors involved in an investigation regarding an alleged sexual assault at the Liceo Naval Almirante Guise in San Borja have been barred from returning to in-person classes. The students will instead participate in remote learning for the duration of the ongoing fiscal proceedings. The decision follows a formal complaint concerning an incident that reportedly occurred inside a school bus following a sports activity.

Authorities, including the Dirección Regional de Educación, are currently conducting an investigation to clarify the events. Due to the involvement of minors, the legal and administrative process is being handled with specific procedural protections while the school and regional officials coordinate the students' academic transition during the investigation.
