‘Lissu has case to answer’

The High Court’s Sub-Registry in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has ruled that Tundu Lissu, Chairman of the opposition party Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA), has a case to answer in a treason case against him.

The decision was delivered by a three-judge panel headed by Justice Dunstan Nd. This ruling paves the way for the prominent opposition leader to begin presenting his defense before the court.
