Livestock vaccination boosts beef exports

Beef exports from Tanzania have increased by over 1,100 tonnes following the introduction of the National Livestock Vaccination and Identification Programme. The initiative, which was launched last year, aims to improve the health and traceability of livestock in the region.

Dr. Robert Buluba, the Acting Officer in Charge of the Northern Zone Veterinary Investigation Centre, confirmed the growth in export volume. The program is positioned as a key factor in the recent expansion of the country's beef trade sector.
