The United States abandons its goal of bringing 1 Gbps internet to the entire country

On Thursday, a group of more than 150 Haitian nationals was deported from the United States to Haiti. This event marks the initial phase of a broader policy shift following the U.S. administration's decision not to renew Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian citizens.

The expiration of this protection impacts more than 300,000 Haitians who are now classified as undocumented within the United States. The return of these individuals to Haiti represents the beginning of a large-scale repatriation process resulting from the change in U.S. immigration policy.
