Firefighters have officially extinguished the forest fire that began on August 20 in Segorbe, Castellón. The blaze, which was declared controlled on August 25, resulted in the destruction of 630 hectares of land and necessitated the evacuation of the municipality of Gátova in the province of Valencia.

Separately, judicial authorities in Ávila have initiated a formal investigation into a distinct forest fire that occurred in Burgohondo. This incident, which burned over 37,000 hectares, is being examined by the Tribunal of Instance of Ávila for potential environmental crimes.
