Immigrants return to El Trampolín beach in Ceuta after the eviction to clean the beach: one arrested for alleged sexual assault

Hundreds of migrants have returned to the El Trampolín beach in Ceuta on Friday, reoccupying the area following a temporary eviction that had been carried out to facilitate cleaning and disinfection work at the coastal enclave. Concurrently, one individual was detained in connection with an alleged sexual assault during the events surrounding the location.

Separately, in the Arequipa region of Peru, the government established an emergency air and maritime bridge to rescue and transport hundreds of passengers who remained stranded following massive landslides and mudflows ('huaicos') that blocked the Panamericana Sur coastal highway for days.
