El Gobierno justifica a De la Espriella armado: "Se enfrenta a los criminales directamente en las calles"

Colombia's Interior Minister, Rodrigo Lara, has publicly defended Abelardo de la Espriella following the release of images showing the latter armed while discussing operations against the narcoparamilitary group Los Pachenca. The government justified the display by stating that De la Espriella is directly confronting criminals on the streets.

Separately, rebels in Ethiopia's Tigray region have criticized the African Union, alleging a failure to oversee and guarantee the implementation of the peace agreement that concluded the recent conflict in the northern region.
