Services have increased above inflation in the last year: which expenses are putting the most pressure on your budget?

In August, Argentina recorded a 1.7% inflation rate, marking the lowest monthly figure in 14 months and the lowest for that specific month since 2017. Despite this government-highlighted deceleration, the headline figure reflects an average that masks significant disparities in household costs. Specifically, the price of public and private services has risen at a rate exceeding the general inflation index, placing increased financial pressure on consumer budgets.

Separately, the national reference index for rental adjustments reached 2.47% for August. This figure represents the third-highest increase recorded since the National Institute of Statistics (INE) began tracking the data, highlighting a specific area of expenditure where costs continue to climb despite the broader trend of slowing inflation.
