Louisiana National Guard ends deployment in New Orleans after eight months patrolling French Quarter

The Louisiana National Guard is concluding its eight-month deployment in New Orleans, with all remaining troops scheduled to be withdrawn from the city by the end of the month.

The deployment involved patrolling the streets of the city's French Quarter. The final patrol for the remaining 120 troops took place on Monday.

This marks the end of a notable security presence in the area that has lasted for nearly three quarters of a year.
