Water levels in the Danube River has fallen so low that Nazi shipwrecks are now exposed

Severe drought conditions have caused water levels in the Danube River to drop significantly, exposing the wreckage of approximately 200 Nazi-era ships near Prahovo, Serbia. The vessels, which have remained submerged on the riverbed, are now visible due to the receding water.

Beyond the historical discovery, the low water levels have created logistical challenges for regional transportation. Shipping operations, as well as ferry and tourist boat services, have faced severe restrictions as a direct result of the ongoing drought.
