LS Electric, GE Vernova to form JV on high-voltage direct current projects

South Korean power equipment manufacturer LS Electric Co. has announced plans to form a joint venture with GE Vernova to focus on high-voltage direct current (HVDC) projects. The agreement was made public in late August.

The partnership combines LS Electric's domestic and regional manufacturing capabilities with GE Vernova's global technology expertise in the power sector. The collaboration targets the growing global demand for advanced transmission infrastructure as grids worldwide undergo modernization and integration of renewable energy sources.
