The Dominican Republic government and President Luis Abinader have formally expressed their solidarity with Colombia following a 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck the nation on Monday. The Dominican administration extended its condolences for the loss of life and property damage caused by the seismic event.

According to reports citing Colombian authorities, the earthquake has resulted in 111 confirmed fatalities and 87 injuries.
