Actor Luis Machín is preparing to portray Ricardo Barreda, the Argentine dentist convicted of murdering his wife, mother-in-law, and two daughters in La Plata, in an upcoming film directed by Daniela Goggi. During the preparation process, Machín described the significant emotional toll of embodying the figure, noting that the intensity of the role manifested in his personal life through disturbing dreams involving the subject.

The project explores the psychological construction of the character as Machín navigates the complexities of portraying a notorious femicide. The production, titled Barreda, aims to examine the historical case through a cinematic lens, focusing on the actor's internal process in reconciling with the dark nature of the individual he is tasked to represent.
