Luxon wants AI to be a ‘number one focus’ for SMEs - but is it for his govt?

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon recently addressed businesses in Rotorua, advising them to prioritize artificial intelligence (AI) as a primary focus to navigate current economic challenges.

His remarks have raised questions regarding the central government's own strategic approach and whether it has a comprehensive AI plan in place to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adopting these technologies.
