Government projects budget of RD$2.037 trillion for 2027

The Dominican government projects a General State Budget of 2.037 trillion pesos for the year 2027, which is equivalent to 21.2 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (PIB). The proposal was reviewed during a Thursday session of the Council of Ministers, led by President Luis Abinader.

In related economic statements made the same Thursday, Minister of Finance Magín Díaz highlighted the performance of the Dominican economy. He stated that the country maintains favorable growth perspectives despite ongoing external challenges from the international environment, specifically citing rising oil prices and increased interest rates.
