along the 800 block of Northwest 19th Avenue. According to police, officers responded to the scene in reference to reports of a person who had been shot.The arriving officers said they found a man who had been shot in the upper torso.He was rushed as a trauma alert to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. Investigators determined a fight occurred inside a residence, and it was during the altercation that the man was shot.
Officers said they did not have anyone in custody, but added that they believed the shooting was an isolated incident and that there was no known threat to the public. An investigation into the circumstances that led up to the shooting remains active and ongoing.
