United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio began his official agenda in Peru on Thursday with a reception at the Palacio de Torre Tagle, the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lima, where he was received by the foreign minister with honors. During his visit to the Peruvian capital, Rubio also held an audience at the Government Palace with Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori.

The high-level meetings at the presidential and ministerial levels focused on addressing matters of mutual bilateral interest between the United States and Peru.
