Margarita Robles maintains that Ceuta and Melilla are “untouchable” and “very Spanish” and reveals that there are 25 CNI agents monitoring the situation

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles stated on Tuesday in Congress that the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla are "untouchable" and "as Spanish as it gets," guaranteeing a firm government response to any violations of national sovereignty. Robles emphasized that the administration will not consent to any challenges regarding the status of the two cities or the values of coexistence and tolerance they represent.

In addition to reaffirming territorial sovereignty, Robles disclosed that 25 CNI (National Intelligence Center) agents are currently deployed to monitor the situation in the region. The statements were delivered during a parliamentary appearance intended to convey a strong stance on the defense and autonomy of the Spanish territories.
