Council of the Judiciary defines roadmap for renewing the Supreme Court

The National Council of the Magistracy (CNM) in the Dominican Republic has established the procedural path for the renewal of the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ). This process follows the formal announcement by the current president of the SCJ, Luis Henry Molina, and SCJ judge and CNM secretary, Nancy Salcedo, that they will not seek reappointment to the high court.

The decision by Molina and Salcedo to decline a new term initiates a transition for two positions within the Supreme Court. The CNM is now tasked with overseeing the selection process to fill these vacancies, marking a significant shift in the composition of the country's highest judicial body.
