Mexican Navy seizes boats with more than 4 tons of cocaine and arrests 16 people in the Mexican Pacific

The Mexican Navy (Secretaría de Marina) intercepted four small vessels in the Pacific Ocean, seizing approximately 4.4 tons of suspected cocaine. During the operation, which was carried out by personnel acting as Coast Guard, 16 individuals were detained on suspicion of criminal activity. The incident took place in the southern region of the country.

The operation highlights ongoing efforts by Mexican authorities to intercept maritime drug trafficking routes in the Pacific. The seized contraband and the suspects were secured by naval forces to undergo further legal proceedings.
