AM-Marlaska asks Ceuta for "serious commitment" and cooperation with minors: "The Government is assuming responsibility"

Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska has publicly called on the autonomous city of Ceuta to demonstrate "serious will" and cooperation in addressing the presence of minors on its streets. Defending the central government's actions, Marlaska asserted that the administration is actively assuming its responsibilities rather than shifting the problem elsewhere.

In addition to addressing the situation concerning minors, Marlaska launched sharp criticism against the Partido Popular (PP). He accused the opposition party of hypocrisy for raising security concerns in Ceuta, arguing that past PP administrations failed to invest adequately in the city's personnel and infrastructure.
