Marlaska praises Morocco after the Ceuta crisis, which "nobody" saw coming: "It's not the fault of any intelligence service"

Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska addressed the late July mass migration event in Ceuta, attributing the influx to plural causes while declining to assign blame to intelligence services. The minister defended the performance of information agencies, stating that not all events can be predicted, and explicitly exculpated Morocco from responsibility regarding the crisis. During his address, he also confirmed that seven of the seventeen sexual assaults reported following the border breach involved the violation of vulnerable women, noting that authorities are actively addressing these cases.
