Más de 5.000 indígenas marchan por la paz y la defensa de sus territorios en sur de México

More than 5,000 indigenous people marched this Sunday in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas to demand peace and the defense of their territories. The demonstration took place in San Cristóbal de las Casas on August 9.

The march was organized in response to the violence and forced displacements that are currently affecting indigenous communities in the region.
