More than 5,300 migrants have already returned to Morocco and almost 100 have renounced asylum.

Following a mass entry of migrants into Ceuta on July 30 and 31, the Spanish government reported on September 13 that over 5,300 individuals have returned to Morocco. Additionally, approximately 100 migrants have formally withdrawn their requests for asylum in Spain.

These developments follow a period of significant border pressure in the autonomous city. The figures provided by the government highlight the ongoing administrative and logistical efforts to manage the aftermath of the recent irregular border crossings.
