Mass. property management company pays $500,000 settlement for charging junk fees

A Boston-based property management company has agreed to pay a six-figure settlement to resolve charges that it forced tenants to pay illegal junk fees.Green Ocean Property Management, LLC, will pay the state $500,000, according to a statement from Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea J. That money will go toward restitution for tenants who paid the illegal fees.
