McLaren tipped to emerge as Mercedes' main threat by end of 2026 F1 season

Former Alpine Formula 1 team principal Otmar Szafnauer has predicted that McLaren will develop into the primary competitive threat to Mercedes by the conclusion of the 2026 Formula 1 season.

Speaking on the High Performance Racing podcast alongside broadcaster Jake Humphrey, Szafnauer shared his assessment regarding the shifting competitive hierarchy at the front of the grid under upcoming regulatory changes.
