Mechanic left maintenance light in wing of Qantas jet. It was two days before anyone found it

Australian investigators report that an operational Qantas passenger jet flew for two days carrying hundreds of passengers after a mechanic accidentally left a maintenance work light inside its wing.

The oversight went undiscovered for a 48-hour period before the foreign object was eventually located and retrieved from the aircraft's wing structure.
