Mega-events drive HK$5.8 billion visitor spend in first half of year: Paul Chan

Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po reported that major events held in the city during the first half of the year generated HK$5.8 billion (US$739 million) in visitor spending. According to his weekly blog, these events attracted approximately 1.75 million visitors to the territory.
