Melilla defends its “efficient and exceptional” response to address the increase in minors

Simultaneously, the Melilla government has criticized the Spanish national administration for failing to attend an extraordinary meeting of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. The session was intended to address migration issues affecting the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, and the local government’s absence of national representation has been framed as a point of contention.
