Melvin Marcelino asks the Government to build a road in Montecristi

Sprinter and double medalist Melvin Marcelino has officially requested the Dominican Republic government to construct an eight-kilometer stretch of roadway in the coastal area known as El, located in the Montecristi province. The appeal was made following his athletic success at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

The proposed infrastructure project focuses on improving connectivity and transport conditions within the specific coastal zone of Montecristi. By leveraging his recent prominence as a multi-medalist in the regional games, Marcelino aims to draw governmental attention to the infrastructural needs of his local community.
