Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs: Forest and Land Fires in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan under control through collaboration

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Jenderal TNI (Purn) Djamari Chaniago has stated that forest and land fires (karhutla) in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) and Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) are currently under control. The official attributed this progress to effective collaboration between relevant stakeholders involved in the mitigation efforts.

To maintain and improve these conditions, the government is prioritizing the role of ground task forces. These units are identified as the primary key to successfully managing and suppressing fire outbreaks in the affected regions.
