Months collecting bottles: "Plastics for school supplies"

Since January, a family living in the Los Guandules neighborhood has been systematically collecting plastic bottles from the streets. Although they did not keep an exact count of the items gathered over the months, their primary objective was to accumulate enough plastic to exchange for school supplies.

The initiative highlights a grassroots effort to repurpose discarded materials for essential educational needs, bridging community-level waste collection with practical household benefits in the Dominican Republic.
