Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) President Hugo Aguilar Ortiz has called for the development of a judicial system that is authentically Mexican rather than one adapted from foreign models. Aguilar Ortiz emphasized that achieving this transition will require extensive national dialogue and a shared understanding of the country's specific legal needs.

Separately, the Mexican Secretariat of National Defense reported the neutralization of four drones along the border between Tijuana, Baja California, and San Diego, California. The drones were reportedly being used to monitor migrant trafficking routes as part of the binational operation known as 'Águila Alta'.
