Mexico awaits Colombia's request for aid after earthquake: this is what Operation Cali entails

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that the Mexican government has prepared a humanitarian aid operation to assist Colombia following a recent earthquake. The deployment, designated as the 'Cali operation,' is currently on standby awaiting a formal request from Colombian authorities to initiate the mission.

The proposed relief effort includes a specialized contingent of 255 military personnel trained in search and rescue operations. Additionally, Mexico has organized the transport of essential supplies, including food, medical equipment, and various relief materials, ready for immediate dispatch once the official request is received.
