Dubbed “Operation Pink Panther,” police said the investigation resulted in the seizure of more than 70 pounds of illegal drugs and nearly $50,000 in suspected drug proceeds.Police said the case began as a narcotics investigation in 2025 when detectives “infiltrated a private WhatsApp group used to advertise and sell wholesale quantities of narcotics.”Determining there was a larger distribution network operating throughout the county, detectives said they found another WhatsApp group which featured a Pink Panther logo in April.

That group chat, investigators said, “was being used to arrange narcotics transactions.”Police said four people were arrested in the operation, and they were identified as Jhon Ramirez, 39, Santiago Lujan, 25, Cesar Suppa, 30, and Matias Serrano, 29.Body camera footage showing how the suspects were apprehended was among the information released by authorities on Monday. “”Operation Pink Panther” is multiple subjects. with one ringleader, not only targeted nightclubs in the EDM space within Miami Beach, but they also targeted visitors, residents, and others who would purchase from them,” said Miami Beach Police Public Information Officer Christopher Bess.

The drugs seized included cocaine, mushrooms, ketamine, LSD, and meth, police said.
