The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office congratulated their very own deputy over the weekend for defeating his opponent by submission in his UFC debut.Deputy Luis Hernandez won the fight by locking up his opponent, who happened to be a convicted felon, with a standing choke.The Saturday night fight at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas between Hernandez and Sedriques Dumas lasted just 57 seconds. Hernandez celebrated his win with a dance around the cage.According to MMAJunkie.USAToday.com, Dumas was initially scheduled to fight Mickey Gall, but Hernandez was a short-notice replacement.
