Police officers deployed in Ceuta during the migration crisis will receive financial compensation for their workload.

The Unified Association of Spanish Military Personnel (AUME) has formally requested the Ministry of Defense to provide financial compensation for military personnel deployed to Ceuta. The deployment followed a massive influx of migrants crossing into the Spanish enclave from Morocco.

The association's demand specifically calls for financial compensation comparable to the allowances previously approved for police officers who handled the same border situation.
