Ministerio Publico confirma secuestro de evidencias en la Universidad de San Carlos, mientras autoridades universitarias alegan “ilegalidades”

The Public Ministry of Guatemala conducted an eight-hour operation at the University of San Carlos (Usac) to seize evidence related to an ongoing investigation. The operation concluded with the formal confirmation that materials were collected from the university premises.

Following the intervention, university authorities publicly challenged the legitimacy of the proceedings. The administration characterized the actions taken by the Public Ministry as illegal, marking a significant point of contention between the academic institution and the investigative body.
