Peruvian Minister of Housing Mauricio Arnillas has stated that water rationing in Lima remains a possibility due to the potential impact that rains associated with the El Niño phenomenon could have on the city's water supply sources.
In response to these weather-related threats, the minister also announced the upcoming cleaning of more than 10 kilometers of riverbeds and water channels as a preventive measure to mitigate the risks posed by the approaching phenomenon.
