Mississippi colleges open food pantries to help students meet basic needs

The University of Mississippi Medical Center has established a food pantry to assist students facing difficulties in meeting basic needs, such as food and other necessities. The initiative was launched following reports that members of the student body, including those in medical and nursing programs, were struggling to afford essential items.
