Mnyeti orders councils to clear contractor debts

Newly appointed Geita Regional Commissioner, Alexander Mnyeti, has directed all district councils within the region to clear verified debts owed to contractors. The directive was issued after Mnyeti officially assumed office in September.

Alongside the payment order, Mnyeti issued a warning stating that his administration will not tolerate unjustified delays in processing payments to contractors.
