Monster fires spark debate over France's forest management

As French firefighters rush to contain the fires raging in the southwest of the country, a political debate is growing over conflicting codes on forest management. While forest rangers say brushwood has to be gotten rid of to avoid forest fires, another environmental code says it should not be cleared in case protected species use it as their habitat.
