Astrophysicist Montserrat Villar has warned that a potential influx of tourists visiting Ceuta to observe the solar eclipse in 2027 could trigger a major crisis if current conditions persist.

Villar, a black hole expert at the Centro de Astrobiología, is currently leading an outreach project aimed at exploring how various cultures across different historical eras and locations have interpreted solar eclipses.
