More than 1 , 000 birds hurt or killed in building collisions in Chicago and Northwestern in Evanston , IL

Over the weekend, more than 1,000 birds were injured or killed after colliding with buildings in the Chicago area and in Evanston, Illinois, specifically at Northwestern University.

The mass collision event occurred during one of the busiest periods of the year for the autumn bird migration.
